Carrie Underwood teamed up with the people over at Elle magazine for an new interview and a photo shoot. Carrie looks great in these photos, but that is nothing new. The former American Idol star and current country music singer has successfully rolled her Idol stint and reality show win into one heck of a career! It’s nice to see that Carrie Underwood is doing well, but I’m wondering about the rest of the U.S. right now.   

Jessica Simpson and PETA have crossed paths and each other! PETA has bad-m0uthed Jes for wearing a T-Shirt that says ”Real Girls Eat Meat.” The animal rights group insists the signer would benefit from a vegan diet, but everyone seems to think she looks OK. A PETA representative said this about Jess:

“Jessica Simpson’s meaty wardrobe malfunction makes us thankful that no one is looking to her for food advice. Chicken of the sea anyone? The woman who thought that Buffalo ‘Wings’ came from buffalos would benefit from some good veggie brain food.”

But why the shirt, you ask? Sources allege that Jessica Simpson only wore the shirt to poke fun at Tony Romo’s ex-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood. And numerous sources have claimed the shirt was making fun of Carrie since she has been named the World’s Sexiest Vegetarian twice by PETA. I’m thinking Jessica is a bit jealous. Why else?

“Jessica is sick of hearing about how Tony still has feelings for Carrie,” says a source. “She’s obviously trying to poke fun at her rival and let her know who really has Tony’s heart.”

Carrie Underwood appears the be the poster child for style and grace, but she admits that is not always the case. Why? Because the country singer says she’s a burper! Like OMG! Buuurrrrp! Oh, excuse me, too. Carrie spoke about her self-proclaimed oddness and stated this to “Cosmopolitan” magazine:

“I don’t consider myself sexy … I’m kind of a nervous person in general. I’m socially awkward. I’m not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot.”

But Carrie Underwood didn’t stop there. Every fan knows her hit song “Before He Cheats” — and unfortunately the singer says she has lived that a “time or two.” Here is what she revealed regarding her past heartbreak:

“Cheating is a deal breaker,” Underwood tells the magazine. “If you cheat you’re gone. Getting revenge on a guy is just not worth it to me … the best revenge I can think of is becoming famous.”

It seems country singer Carrie Underwood is the all-time most popular“American Idol” winner according to a poll released today by AOL Television. The poll, conducted May 9-16, received more than 1.3 million votes. Carrie, the 2005 “American Idol” winner who went on to win Grammy, American Music, Billboard and Country Music Association awards, was voted the most popular “Idol” by a whopping 54 percent of those taking part. Kelly Clarkson, who was the original “Idol” back in 2002, finished second with 26 percent of votes. Congrats to Carrie Underwood on an outstanding career thus far — but we expect more great thing in the future!

Other “Idol” wannabes didn’t fair so well — Jason Castro was voted the most overrated contestant this season, according to the poll. With the most watched television show reaching its climax this week, finalists David Archuleta, 17, and David Cook, 25, the poll shows that these two are running neck and neck in terms of best performances of the seventh season. David A.’s rendering of John Lennon’s “Imagine” in February was rated best of the season by 35 percent of those taking part, with David C.’s rock version of the Michael Jackson hit “Billie Jean” back in March also getting 35 percent.

Carrie Underwood is featured in the May 2008 issue of InStyle magazine and looks great! The magazine did a nice job of highlighting Carrie in various poses and used a lot of different colors to make these photos very nice. It’s just nice to see something more than one or two photos of a celebrity in an outfit or two, you know what I mean?

In Carrie’s interview with the magazine, she said:

“If I could do one thing, I’d make the day longer and refuse to work the extra hours.”

“American Idol” winner and professional singer Carrie Underwood has opened up about her love life and cheating boyfriends. The celebrity has previously date Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in addition to actor Chace Crawford, but admits that she has been cheated on “a time or two.”

And although Carrie refused to reveal who was responsible for her heartbreak, she did have this to say:

“I’ve been cheated on a time or two. It’s tough. I wouldn’t recommend doing any property damage, though.”

So everyone either knows someone that has been cheated on or have been cheated on themselves, but what does Carrie do after a guy cheats? Well, it seems she eats her troubles away — and turns to sweets. Carrie went into more detail and stated:

“If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened. I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream.”

Carrie on her recent breakup with Chace: 

“It was completely mutual. We broke up over text so …it’s like ‘peace out.’ It just didn’t work. We both knew it didn’t work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever.”
