Rocker Avril Lavigne is featured in “Nylon” magazine and the singer goes totally retro for this one! Avril always finds a way to leave her “skatergirl mark” everywhere she goes — and I don’t think these pictures are any exception. She looks pouty and a bit pissed (as usual), but it’s all part of the image, as well as the shoot. Hopefully, all is well on the Lavigne front because it was just last month she apologized for all of her cancelled tour dates.

Avril Lavigne said in a statement in May:

“My sincerest apologies to all of my fans,” the singer said in a statement released Saturday. “My intention was to complete the rest of the tour, but tonight at sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn’t possible.”

Avril Lavigne may not come across as a Maxim girl, but that is exactly what she is this month! Yep, Avril is featured in the pages of Maxim magazine and this skater girl shows the world that she can hang with the best of them.

And I think it’s great – Avril shouldn’t have to be pigeon-holed into her “bad-girl” rocker image.  

Avril Lavigne hits the pool in this baby blue bikini and looks both good and relaxed doing so. I know putting on a swimsuit can be a big deal each summer since personal body-image really does impact our own pyschology — and ultimately the fun we have while out and about.

But Avril doesn’t seem to care, but she’s in good shape. And on that note, it’s time for me to put on my swimsuit and find out where the problem areas may be. Of course, I know what comes after that — the gym!!!

Avril Lavigne is best know for the punk rocker-chick that she is, but sometimes girls just want to have fun! From these poolside photos, you can tell that Avril coordinated the pink highlights in her hair with the color of her bikini top. That’s too cool.
